ended up in Madison,Jefferson,Indiana.The 
Raney's then went to Versailles,Brown County,Illinois and then in 1885-86 to 
Stanton county Kansas where they still are today.James Raney was born 8 Jun 
1820 in ,Ripley County Indiana he married Sarah Ann Cordrey on 31 Jul 1842.She 
was born  8 Jun 1820 to John Cordrey and Melinda Johnson in Kentucky.One 
brother whom we know of is William Cordrey born 11 Feb 1828 in 
Lexington,,Kentucky.William married Vashti Smith on 15 Oct 1848 in 
Madison,Jefferson county,Indiana.All children born in Madison,Jefferson 
County,Indiana they were Anna Melinda Cordrey born 15 mar 1850;Mary Etta 
Cordrey born 1852;James W. Cordrey 1855.Anna Melinda Cordrey married James 
Henry Crozier on 6 Jan 1850 in Madison,Jefferson,Indiana.James Crozier was 
born 10 mar 1843 in Madison where all their children born in Madison 
also.Marietta (Etta) Crozier on 24 Feb 1869;Howard Crozier on 31 dec 
1870;Franklin H.Crozier on 18 May 1872;Graham Crozier 5 Nov 1875.James 
W.Crozier was married abt 1880 had two children both born in Madison. Robert 
T.Cordrey born 11 Oct 1882;Leila Cordrey born abt 1884.
